New server drive configs - any advice ~Sigmund Prejipymanflar 10.Jul.03 10:04 PM a Web browser Domino Server All ReleasesLinux - RedHat
You guys seem pretty knowledgeable, so I figure I'll post my situation here. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
We just purchased two Dell PowerEdge 2650s w/ 5x73gb drives for our new office. We'll be tossing the old Notes server and I'm trying to figure out the best way to configure these drives.
We have about 50 mail users and some rather large applications. The two servers will be clustered on dual proc Win2k Servers w/ 2g of RAM each.
We're looking at 2 channels (1x2 drives, 1x3 drives). Can you offer any advice on the physical and logical drives/RAID configuration?
I was thinking:
C: OS, Notes program files
D: Pagefile
E: Translog
F: Data
Is this what you'd recommend and how would you break this up physically? Which drives would you put on which channel?
